FHP: Use caution driving in St. John’s after blaze

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (AP) — The Florida Highway Patrol is advising motorists in St. John’s County to use extra caution amid smoky conditions.

Troopers say they are monitoring a fire near U.S. 1 south of St. Augustine.

According to the FHP, visibility may deteriorate quickly due to smoke and fog-like conditions, especially at night and in early morning hours.

Authorities recommend reducing speed and utilizing low beam headlights to adapt to the changing weather conditions.
