Happy Thanksgiving
This year has been a very interesting for me. In some ways it is a year that would rather forget, but what does not kill you makes you a better man. But there are many things to be thankful for.
I am thankful for my family. I have family all over the fruited plain and do not always get a chance to see them all, but with the technology of today, we can keep in touch with each other more than ever. But I am most thankful for my cousin from Cincinnati overcoming lymphoma over the summer. I went and visited her a couple times this summer and it is great to see that she has pulled through and is in good spirits. As always with cancer though, she is not out of the woods and still needs checkups regularly for the next few years. But through the prayers of family friends she came through and is oragnizing a family reunion next summer.
I am also thankful for my friends, both here in my home town and my online friends. I do not want to name anyone, because I do not want to leave anyone out, but you all know who you are. And this year I was able to meet more of my online friends than I ever have before sat CPAC and the RedState gathering. Some I have known for a long time, some I just met, but in my mind you are all family and I love you all as a family member And some have helped me out and there is no way I can repay them for their prayers and how they kept me and my family in there thoughts. I truly want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.
I am also thankful that I am in good health, I could loose a couple pounds and get in a little better shape, but I do not have any kind of sickness. I am also thankful that I have a job that I can go to, I know many out there have either lost their jobs or have been laid off. And I know how hard that can be, and would never want it to happen to anyone, even my political enemies.
I am also thankful for the success of the Tea Party and the political awareness that it has brought to many people that have been on the sidelines for far too long. Without the energy and education that the Tea Party has brought we have taken back the House and gained in the Senate, but we still have a long way to go. But I am thankful that people are starting to take back the Republican Party from those that would not listen to WE the PEOPLE.
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have never a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
