A scripted segment on Fox News’s The Ingraham Angle drew mockery and comparisons to a famed “Abbott and Costello” moment from social media users.
Ingraham spoke with author Raymond Arroyo on Monday about how audiences liked “anti-woke” television shows such as Yellowstone. When Arroyo mentioned Netflix’s You, confusion ensued during a segment that Arroyo later confirmed was “totally scripted” ahead of time.
“I watched an episode of You where measles came up,” Arroyo said, prompting Ingraham to interject, “When did I mention measles?”

“I don’t know. It was on You!” he replied.
“What was on me? What are you talking about? I never had the measles. We never did a measles and vaccine episode. Is this a joke?” she said.
“It was on You!” Arroyo replied in kind.
The visibly confused Ingraham asked, “Is this a joke? I have never had measles. What are you talking about? This is stupid.”
“It was an episode of a show, Laura,” Arroyo said.
“What’s it called?” Ingraham asked.
“You, You, it’s a show called You!” Arroyo tried to explain.
Ingraham appeared not to catch on, saying, “I’ve never done a show on measles. I just completely give up. I give up.”
“It’s a show called You on Netflix!” Arroyo replied.
However, Ingraham still seemed confused.
“There’s a show called Laura Ingraham on Netflix?” she asked.
Some used the segment to mock Ingraham, accusing her of a lack of intelligence.

It’s unclear whether the bit was planned, but some suggested it was an intentional gag considering the pair’s history of jokes on set.
Arroyo later confirmed that it was “totally scripted” and was glad that so many people appreciated the bit.
Thank you @mehdirhasan. We were worried it wouldn’t work via satellite. But glad it landed. Totally scripted! https://t.co/dFdnlk4N56
