There is “no one” on the Democratic bench to step up if Hillary Clinton does not run for president, claims for Bill Clinton adviser Paul Begala. He made the comments last night on CNN:
“If Hillary Clinton doesn’t run,” someone on CNN asked, “who’s on the bench then?”
“No one,” said Begala. “No one. My party–it’s not fair, there are impressive people, that I think could be good presidents, but don’t have I think the electoral prospects that Hillary does.”
Begala also said it would be hard for Hillary because her candidacy would be labeled Obama’s third term.
Van Jones went on to make the case that Elizabeth Warren would be a strong candidate for president of the United States.
