Philadelphia police arrested a man after he allegedly stabbed a woman and her two sons on Sunday afternoon.
Neighbors of the family said the children came downstairs to protect their mother as she was stabbed by her attacker, who they claim was her coworker. The two boys, aged 10 and 15, were stabbed by the intruder and ran outside to a neighbor, who told CBS3 the children said the attacker followed them outside.
“The guy came out, I didn’t know what he was going to do, if he was going to try to attack them again,” the neighbor said. “So I said, ‘Run, run, run, inside my house.’ So we all ran inside my basement.”

The neighbor said the attacker “looked at us, and just casually walked away” from the scene. After calling the police, the boys pleaded with her to check on their mother. After calling out to her in the home, the neighbor said she came “stumbling down the steps.”
Authorities told the outlet the man attempted to turn himself in at a station, but the facility was currently under construction. Police units arrived at his location and took the man to a hospital to confirm his identity, which has not yet been released to the public.
The unidentified 37-year-old mother was stabbed multiple times and in critical condition at a hospital, according to police. Her 15-year-old son was stabbed twice in the back of his head, and her 10-year-old son was stabbed once in the back of his head and once in his left leg, according to officials. Both are in stable condition.
