Inside Ivana Trump’s final hours after cause of death revealed

Ivana Trump, the first wife of former President Donald Trump, visited a popular restaurant in New York with a personal health aide to pick up an order of soup just hours before she died, friends of the fashion designer revealed.

Ivana Trump made a stop at Altesi Ristorante in Manhattan around 6 p.m. Wednesday as her health aide went inside the restaurant to order some soup. Friends who saw her outside the building spoke with the 73-year-old, later describing her as seemingly frail as a result of the COVID-19 lockdowns imposed periodically over the last two years.

IVANA TRUMP’S DEATH NOT SUSPICIOUS, WAS RESULT OF FALL, MEDICAL EXAMINER SAYS

“I bumped into her outside. I said, ‘Senora, how are you? Good?’ She said, ‘I just went for my walk,’ and we chat couple of minutes as a common thing we always [do],” Paolo Alavian, the owner of the restaurant, told the New York Post. “You could feel a little bit of tiredness but … she never complained about anything, never mentioned anything.”

Trump had appeared tired, he said, but her demeanor was nothing out of the ordinary. Her health aide ordered one of her favorite soups while at the restaurant, which was later delivered to her home.

“She loved soup. She always had soup. Carrot soup was the best. She got lentil, carrot. … She always wants soup,’’ he said.

Some friends of Trump noted she had dealt with hip pain in recent months, sometimes hindering her from being able to walk. One friend of the socialite mentioned she hadn’t been the same since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

“She aged very rapidly the last one year,” said Thomas Makkos, the owner of Nello, another restaurant favored by Trump.

Trump died from blunt force injuries to her chest that occurred during a fall at her New York apartment, the New York City chief medical examiner’s office revealed Friday.

The injuries were the result of an accident and didn’t appear suspicious, according to the medical examiner’s office, whose report came one day after she was discovered unresponsive at the bottom of a flight of stairs in her Upper East Side apartment. Paramedics responded to a cardiac arrest call around noon on Thursday, and she was declared dead at the scene, according to the New York City Police Department.
