Joe Biden shows support for John McCain after diagnosis of same cancer that took his son Beau Biden

Former Vice President Joe Biden showed solidarity with Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., on Wednesday night after it was announced that the senator had been diagnosed with the same brain cancer that took his son’s life in 2015.

“John and I have been friends for 40 years. He’s gotten through so much difficulty with so much grace. He is strong – and he will beat this,” Joe Biden tweeted.

It was reported McCain, 80, has been diagnosed glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer that took the life of former Biden’s son, Beau Biden.
