The Republican National Committee raised $7.3 million August and has more than $45 million cash on hand, according to Federal Election Commission data released Tuesday.

“The Republican Party continues to thrive because of steady support from the American people,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel said in a statement Tuesday. “We are thankful for individuals across the country who have expressed confidence in us to support President Trump and defend Republican majorities in Congress.”
