John McCain’s widow and daughter condemned a fake video aired by President Trump’s supporters, which depicts him killing media outlets and political adversaries including the late senator.
“Reports describing a violent video played at a Trump Campaign event in which images of reporters & @JohnMcCain are being slain by Pres Trump violate every norm our society expects from its leaders& the institutions that bare their names. I stand w/ @whca in registering my outrage,” Cindy McCain said Monday on Twitter.

Meghan McCain retweeted her mother’s statement and sent out a couple of her own comments on the video on Twitter.
“No it isn’t – the joker is a fictional character from a comic book. One of the people in this video is my Dad, sitting senators and congresspeople. Please don’t insult me or them by insinuating this is anything like heavy metal. This could inspire violence towards REAL people,” McCain told journalist Stephen Miller, who compared the video to the Joker movie and called it a meme.

The co-host of The View, 34, added that people defending the video would be outraged if Democrats had made their own version of it.
“Also you’d be screaming bloody murder if something like this was shown at an Adam Schiff or Obama event. So please for God’s sake just stop. This video is disgusting and disturbing and any human with any moral clarity sees that,” she said.

A fake video of Trump killing his political enemies surfaced Sunday night after the New York Times reported it was played at a pro-Trump conference at his Trump National Doral Miami resort last week. The Trump campaign condemned the video saying they “do not condone violence.” His press secretary also said he “strongly condemns” it but has not seen it yet.
Re: the video played over the weekend: The @POTUS @realDonaldTrump has not yet seen the video, he will see it shortly, but based upon everything he has heard, he strongly condemns this video.

Members of the media widely criticized the video as disturbing.
