Bestselling author Marianne Williamson is teasing a possible 2024 Democratic bid for president, running as a potential primary challenger against President Joe Biden.
“As America gears up for the 2024 presidential election, I’m preparing an important announcement on March 4th in Washington DC,” the former Democratic presidential candidate said in a statement. Williamson noted that there were several factors that “propelled me to explore the possibility of running for the Democratic nomination for president in 2024.”

The self-help star is currently “gathering information” and “working on putting a machine together” as she is planning to make “an informed decision.”
Williamson is spending the weekend in the New Hampshire as she considers a second run. She has been critical of how the DNC has handled the primary process, particularly in regards to New Hampshire.
“The DNC is taking a tact that is not very respectful to the people of New Hampshire, and not very respectful to democracy itself,” she said.
DNC’s new 2024 presidential primary calendar stripped New Hampshire of its “first-in-the nation” status when they selected South Carolina, replacing Iowa, as the first primary election followed by the Granite State.

While her bid for president in 2020 was not considered competitive, she’s hoping to build a operation that is “strong enough and powerful enough to handle the turbulent seas of a presidential campaign.”
