Mike Huckabee says he’s thinking of ditching Trump for Marianne Williamson

Mike Huckabee said he might support spiritual guru Marianne Williamson over President Trump in the upcoming 2020 presidential election.

“I may abandon my support of @realDonaldTrump and go w/ Marianne Willamson,” the former Republican Arkansas governor joked Tuesday. “I’ve already lit a candle, stroked a crystal, got in yoga pose, taken deep breaths, and chanted out loud and I feeling real love right now. She’s got the groove!”

Huckabee voiced his tentative support for Williamson during the second Democratic presidential debate.

Williamson, 67, called upon Americans in the debate to “rise up” and debate Trump. She is currently tied for seventeenth place in the Democratic presidential primary race at 0.3% according to RealClearPolitics.

Last week, Huckabee wrote an op-ed for Fox News in which he lamented the former special counsel Robert Mueller had cost the country what could have been a “new era of political comity” under Trump.

“The Trump administration could have been the start of a new era of political comity and bipartisan progress for America, but Democrats turned it into an era of bitter partisanship with the collusion witch hunt,” he said.
