Liberal group sells ‘I’m with the resistance’ T-shirts

The Progressive Change Campaign Committee, one of the many liberal groups opposed to President Trump, is protesting his inauguration in a very Trump-like way: Selling T-shirts and other knick-knacks and memorabilia.

“The deed is done. The resistance has begun. Get this sticker by donating $4 or more to resist Trump’s agenda,” the committee said in mass email to supporters Friday afternoon. “P.S. You can also get shirts and buttons.”

The shirts, buttons and stickers are purple with bold white lettering and an orange bar and say, “I’m With The Resistance! Defeat Trump’s Agenda.”

“The pre-game show is over — let the historic resistance begin. Starting today, Trump’s corrupt catering to billionaires and Wall Street at the expense of working families will be more visible than ever to Americans. Progressives are prepared to foster a historic resistance that merges the power of millions of people taking action with the leadership of Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Keith Ellison and others in Congress,” PCCC said in a separate email Friday to supporters.

It is a distinct change in tone from last year, when PCCC said the problem in Washington was too much obstructionism. “An Obama nomination for Supreme Court deserves an up or down vote. Republicans are free to vote yes or no, but should not obstruct our democracy from moving forward,” it said in a February petition calling for a Senate vote on Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland.
