Idaho Rep. Raul Labrador will run for governor in 2018 after filing paperwork to start his candidacy Tuesday morning.
The Lewiston Tribune of Idaho reported Labrador filed a form listing himself as a candidate for governor with the Idaho secretary of State Tuesday morning. He’s now allowed to start campaigning and raising money for his bid.
According to the report, Labrador is the fourth Republican to file to run for Idaho’s governorship. They’re all seeking to replace Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter, who has served three terms and isn’t running for re-election.
The Republican primary in the race is May 15, 2018.
