Donald Trump on Friday rejected House Speaker Paul Ryan’s claim that Trump “inherited” the GOP, and instead said he “won” the party through the primary process.
Ryan
Paul Ryan said that I inherited something very special, the Republican Party. Wrong, I didn’t inherit it, I won it with millions of voters!

told CNN on Thursday that he’s “not ready” to endorse Trump or support him as the de facto GOP nominee until he answers questions that Ryan and other conservatives still have about his positions and campaign promises. “He also inherits something very special, that’s very special to a lot of us. This is the party of Lincoln and Reagan and Jack Kemp,” Ryan said during the interview.
Trump told Fox News Friday morning that he and the Wisconsin Republican are scheduled to meet next week, but he has “absolutely no idea” what they plan to discuss.
” Something is in the works, but not locked in quite yet ,” a spokesman for the House Speaker wrote in an email to the Washington Examiner.
