A key aide to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., apologized to House Speaker Paul Ryan’s staff on Tuesday after he mistakenly accused Speaker Ryan, R-Wis., of using foul language in front of reporters.
Drew Hammill, deputy chief of staff to Pelosi, posted a video to Twitter after Ryan briefed reporters on Tuesday. In the video, a voice can be heard saying, “waste of my fucking time.”
Hammill tweeted out the video by saying it was “@SpeakerRyan on talking to reporters.” He later deleted his tweet:

But AshLee Strong, Ryan’s national press secretary, shot back that a reporter used bad language, not Ryan.
“You should be ashamed of yourself,” she wrote back to Hammill. “That was clearly a reporter next to the mic. Delete your account.”

Soon after Strong’s tweet, Hammill took down his tweet and apologized.
.@BrendanBuck tells me that was not his boss. Will take his word for it and I apologized.
