The Defense Intelligence Agency has apologized for a taking a sarcastic shot at China’s government following an altercation this weekend between Chinese authorities and members of President Obama’s team.
“Earlier today, a tweet regarding a news article was mistakenly posted from this account & does not represent the views of DIA. We apologize,” the agency said on its official Twitter account.

The original, since-deleted note, which read “Classy as always China,” was sent out with a link to a story about Obama’s team getting into a heated confrontation with Chinese authorities as the president’s team arrived in China this weekend for the G20 Summit.

The dispute between the Americans and Chinese began almost immediately after Obama landed in China.
National Security Advisor Susan Rice was blocked by an official from joining the U.S. motorcade, and there was no stair car for the president to use to disembark from Air Force One. Obama had to exit the plane using a backdoor.
The present said later that day of his awkward arrival, “I wouldn’t over-crank the significance of it.”
