President-elect Donald Trump believes he can heal America’s divisions.
“For many years our country has been divided, angry and untrusting,” he wrote Sunday on Twitter. “Many say it will never change, the hatred is too deep. IT WILL CHANGE!!!”

It was unclear if Trump was responding to something in particular, though he has been feuding with civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis in recent days.
On Friday, the Democratic lawmaker said he doesn’t see Trump as a “legitimate” president after Russia’s meddling in the presidential election.
Trump fired back on Twitter, writing that Lewis should “spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested.”

Lewis, who was beaten by police in Selma, Ala., while marching for civil rights in 1965, said he plans to skip Trump’s inauguration.
