Mar-a-Lago hit with 13 health violations

Florida health inspectors have found over a dozen health violations at President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago this year, according to a report.

A total of 13 violations were found when inspectors examined the luxury resort’s kitchen on Jan. 26, just days before Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met there with Trump.

While inspectors decided that the kitchen met all minimum standards, three of the violations were deemed “high priority,” meaning illness-causing bacteria might be found on dishware used in the dining room, according to the Miami Herald this week.

Violations include potentially dangerous raw fish, food stored in two broken-down coolers and a sink in which employees wash their hands where the water was too cold to sanitize hands.

The Mar-a-Lago has faced health violations before, but never this many. The Miami Herald reported that there were 11 violations in 2016 and just two in 2015.
