President Trump said Thursday he expects his meeting next week with President Xi Jinping of China will be “a very difficult one.”
“The meeting next week with China will be a very difficult one in that we can no longer have massive trade deficits and job losses,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “American companies must be prepared to look at other alternatives.”
The White House said Thursday Trump will host the Chinese president April 6 and 7, 2017 at Mar-a-Lago to “discuss global, regional, and bilateral issues of mutual concern.”
