President Trump called the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election “bad for our country” and accused the Justice Department of leaking letters from his lawyers to the press.
“There was No Collusion with Russia (except by the Democrats). When will this very expensive Witch Hunt Hoax ever end? So bad for our Country. Is the Special Counsel/Justice Department leaking my lawyers letters to the Fake News Media? Should be looking at Dems corruption instead?” Trump tweeted Saturday afternoon.

Special counsel Robert Mueller has been overseeing the investigation into Russian meddling and whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia since being appointed by Rod Rosenstein in May 2017.
According to a report released by the Justice Department on Thursday, Mueller’s probe has cost the agency $17 million since his appointment.
Trump frequently refers to the special counsel’s investigation as a “witch hunt” and has suggested the Justice Department investigate Democrats and Hillary Clinton instead.
Trump appeared to be referencing a 20-page letter obtained by the New York Times and published on Saturday, but he tweeted about it before the article was published.
