Police seek suspected scam artist

Baltimore County police are searching for a man suspected of conning area residents using a fraudulent home improvement scheme.

Police said Kenneth William Gleason, 35, is wanted in Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Harford County and Delaware for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from residents while posing as a home improvement business owner.

He allegedly stole scaffolding equipment worth almost $4,000 from a Home Depot and used it to support his fake business, police said.

He also used a bad check to buy more than $4,000 worth of building supplies and get contracts and deposits for home improvement projects, but didn?t fulfill the agreements, police said.

Among others, Baltimore County police have charged him with fraud, failure to perform a contract and theft.

Gleason?s last known address is in the unit block of Warren Lodge Court in Cockeysville.

He was last seen driving a dark blue 2000 GMC sport utility vehicle with Maryland tag 546M542.
