On Her Majesty’s postal service: Britain unveils James Bond stamps

The United Kingdom is issuing 10 stamps to celebrate the James Bond film franchise and the release of the 25th Bond film, No Time To Die, which hits American screens on April 10.

The stamps take inspiration from the classic opening title sequences and feature the six actors who have played James Bond, the fictional spy at the center of the franchise. A further four feature some of Q Branch’s best-known vehicles, complete with secret features that are only revealed under ultraviolet light.

Royal Mail spokesman Philip Parker said, “James Bond is a British icon, recognized throughout the world for decades. It’s fitting our new stamps celebrate the six Bonds with stylish and evocative designs.”

The stamps portray Daniel Craig in the 2006 film Casino Royale and trace the series all the way back to Sean Connery in 1964’s Goldfinger.

The Q Branch stamps include Little Nellie, the autogyro from 1967’s You Only Live Twice, the Bell-Textron jet pack from 1965’s Thunderball, and the iconic Aston Martin DB5 seen in 2012’s Skyfall.
