Four in custody after six found dead in Milwaukee home

Milwaukee police are questioning four “persons of interest” following an investigation into six people found dead in a duplex on Sunday.

Four adults are in custody while police work to determine “what their involvement was, if any,” with the six homicides, the department said in a statement on Thursday.

“Based on evidence at the scene and our ongoing investigation, we believe there were multiple suspects involved in this incident,” the Milwaukee Police Department said. “The time this incident occurred still remains undetermined.”

Police are also investigating a 911 call received 12 hours before the bodies were discovered that they initially believed was connected to the shooting. The caller “claimed to be a victim of a shooting” along with multiple others but gave a different address from the one where the bodies were later found. After locating the caller, police said they determined the caller was not a victim of a shooting, but the connection to the incident remains under investigation, according to the statement.
