In an email to supporters, the Democratic party is warning about Ted Cruz, the first Republican to jump into the 2016 presidential race. The prospect of a President Cruz is “really, really scary,” the Democrats write in an email.
“Last night, the guy who shut down the government — and still thinks that was a good idea! — announced that he’s running for President of the United States,” reads the email.
“You already know a lot about Ted Cruz, Daniel. You know about what a divisive politician he is, about the extreme positions he has, and how committed he is to breaking Washington even more. So we don’t need to tell you any more about the specifics, we just want you to imagine something for a second:
“President Ted Cruz.
“Are you imagining it? We’ll wait.”
After a series of ellipses, the Democratic party states in bold, “You’re right! That is really, really scary.”
