Woman, 85, sentenced for DA murder plot

CONROE, Texas (AP) — An 85-year-old Montgomery County woman has received three long prison terms related to a plot to hire a hit man to kill a district attorney.

Dorothy Clark Canfield pleaded guilty in August. She isn’t eligible for parole for more than 12 years.
