Trump: Twitter outage shows I’m ‘having an impact’

President Trump said Friday that the decision by a “rogue” Twitter employee to take down his account for 11 minutes shows his efforts to reach people directly are making a difference.

“My Twitter account was taken down for 11 minutes by a rogue employee,” he wrote Friday. “I guess the word must finally be getting out — and having an impact.”

Trump’s account went down Thursday night, and Twitter blamed it on “human error” by a customer support employee on his or her last day.

“Through our investigation we have learned that this was done by a Twitter customer support employee who did this on the employee’s last day. We are conducting a full internal review,” the company said in a statement.
