Police investigating the shots fired at the United States Marine Corps Heritage Museum in Prince William County will be conducting an extensive search for evidence on both sides of Interstate 95 on Friday starting at approximately 8 a.m. — right in the heart of the morning commute.
According to Prince William County police, the search in Triangle will include “both the northbound and southbound side of I-95 to include the shoulder, median and main travel lanes. This disruption may cause traffic issues on the I-95 corridor during the morning commute.”
Police said someone shot at numerous times into the museum in Triangle over the weekend. Nobody was hurt. Damage was estimated to be around $20,000. Investigators are trying to determine whether the shooting was connected to a similar incident at the Pentagon on Tuesday.
