A domestic dispute this week in Harford County turned into an abduction and multiple car chases before the suspect was finally apprehended, police said.

Deputies arrived at the Forest Hill home of Devin Robinson mid-afternoon Monday on the 3100 block of Rocks Road to investigate reports that she had not shown up at work and may have been abducted at gunpoint by her domestic partner, Anntoinette Caballero, said Sgt. David Betz, Sheriff?s Office spokesman.

Deputies received a call from a friend who had spotted Robinson?s car in Perryville headed toward Havre de Grace, with Caballero and Robinson inside, Betz said. Police from Havre de Grace were prepared to intercept the vehicle, but the friend apparently pulled in front of the car and passengers in her car pulled Robinson out, just before Caballero fled. Havre de Grace police pursued, but eventually broke off the chase.

Around 1 a.m. Tuesday, deputies spotted the car at the Edgewood Denny?s, and Caballero once again fled, Betz said. As the chase went north on Interstate 95, deputies used “stop sticks” to deflate the car?s tires near the exit for Aberdeen, and she finally came to a stop around Havre de Grace.

Caballero, 23, is charged with kidnapping, assault, false imprisonment, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and using a handgun in a violent crime. She was being held on $100,000 bail.
