President Trump on Friday referred to the New York Times, CNN, NBC News, ABC News, and CBS News as the “fake news media” and called them the “enemy of the American people.”
“The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @CNN, @NBCNews and many more) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American people. SICK!” Trump wrote in a tweet, before deleting it minutes later.

Shortly after, Trump tweeted the same message, but added ABC and CBS to the list.
“The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!” Trump tweeted.
Trump has taken to calling coverage he doesn’t like “fake news.” He lambasted the press at a White House briefing Thursday afternoon, when reporters asked him about the circumstances of former national security adviser Mike Flynn firing this week. Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh praised Trump’s handling of the briefing.
“One of the most effective press conferences I’ve ever seen!” says Rush Limbaugh. Many agree.Yet FAKE MEDIA calls it differently! Dishonest

Trump has denied the details of the some of the reporting of the episode, accusing the media of misreporting on his administration to discredit him.
