Rescue crews on Tuesday located the body of a missing swimmer in the Triadelphia Reservoir near Brookville.
The search for 21-year-old Bruce Yansen began Friday evening, when he went under while swimming in the reservoir at about 5:30 p.m. Authorities continued searching through the weekend and on Monday, but he wasn’t found until shortly before 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Montgomery County police said.
Two other people were swimming with Yansen and tried to save him when the bottom suddenly dropped off and he went under, but were unsuccessful.
The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission says swimming is prohibited in its reservoirs.
