The past week was dominated by the guilty verdict handed to former Minnesota police officer Derek Chauvin in the murder of George Floyd and the subsequent fallout. But some choice comments in the run-up to the verdict on Tuesday led to a rebuke from the judge in the case, potentially opening the door to an appeal from the defense team.
