President Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen denied that he spoke with comedian Tom Arnold about Trump, after Arnold claimed that the two were joining forces to take “Trump down together.”
“Appreciate @TomArnold kind words about me as a great father, husband and friend,” Cohen tweeted Friday. “This was a chance, public encounter in the hotel lobby where he asked for a selfie. Not spending the weekend together, did not discuss being on his show nor did we discuss @POTUS. #done #ridiculous.”

The tweet comes after Arnold posted a picture with Cohen on Thursday with the caption “I Love New York.” On Friday morning, Arnold told NBC News that he and Cohen met for a Vice show where he pursues damaging videos of Trump.
“This dude has all the tapes — this dude has everything,” Arnold told NBC News. “I say to Michael, ‘Guess what? We’re taking Trump down together,’ and he’s so tired he’s like, ‘OK,’ and his wife is like, ‘OK, f— Trump.’”
Earlier this week, it was reported that Cohen was open to spilling details on Trump with investigators, per CNN.
Cohen’s home and office were raided by the FBI in April, when agents seized computers, phones, and other materials of Cohen’s.
Cohen is under investigation to determine if he violated tax or campaign finance laws, but he has not yet been charged with a crime.
