Keith Olbermann led off his ‘special comment’ yesterday with an attack on Sarah Palin for her failure to denounce an audience member who allegedly shouted out ‘kill him’ during the comments of the local Congressional candidate. What Olbermann failed to mention was that Palin had not yet arrived when the comment was made. According to the Scranton Times Tribune:
There were no incendiary outbursts from the crowd about Mr. Obama during Mrs. Palin’s speech, as there have been during other recent McCain-Palin rallies. However, someone did shout out, “Kill him!” during Republican congressional candidate Chris Hackett’s remarks before Mrs. Palin took the stage. The outburst came during a round of booing from the crowd after Mr. Hackett said Mr. Obama should come to Pennsylvania and learn what the state’s values are.
I suppose Olbermann will acknowledge his error about the same time he expresses outraged about the many instances of Democratic activists and officials encouraging and perpetrating violence against Republicans. Which is to say: never.
