Clinton receives standing ovation at Broadway show

Hillary Clinton received a warm welcome on Sunday at the final performance of “The Color Purple” on Broadway, quite a contrast from Vice President-elect Pence’s appearance at “Hamilton” in November.

The former Democratic nominee received a prolonged standing ovation from the sold-out crowd, the New York Times reported.

She attended the show with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and their daughter, Chelsea.

Former Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon tweeted the New York Times story with #HillarysNewYork.

After taking in the performance of Hamilton, Pence was lectured briefly about values and political issues by an actor on behalf of the rest of the cast.
