The Republican Party office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was vandalized on Wednesday.

The office building’s walls and windows were spray-painted, and the perpetrator wrote the word “scum” on the door. Milwaukee police said that they responded to a complaint at the office on Wednesday morning and that the situation is “still under investigation” while adding that they’re still searching for an “unknown suspect,” according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

“Our new field office in Milwaukee was vandalized last night. This won’t change our commitment to reaching voters in the community,” the Wisconsin GOP said. “What kind of intolerance can we expect to see when Democrats bring their convention to Milwaukee this summer?”

Andrew Hitt, the chairman of the Wisconsin GOP, claimed that the vandalism was politically motivated.

“I think we’ve seen all over this country the intolerance that the Left has for conservative thought, conservative ideas,” he said to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “I think this is just another example of it. We’re not going anywhere. We want to be part of this community. We came here to talk about the president’s accomplishments, the accomplishments of Republican legislators in Wisconsin. We’re going to continue to do that.”
