President-elect Trump is set to resume transition meetings at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on Wednesday after pausing for six days to enjoy the Christmas holiday.
Trump met first with David Rubenstein, the chief executive of major private equity firm Carlyle Group, according to incoming White House press secretary Sean Spicer.
His other scheduled meetings include Ike Perlmutter, CEO of Marvel Entertainment, and Tommy Thompson, the former governor of Wisconsin.
Spicer told reporters on a conference call Wednesday that a planned meeting with Abel Maldonado, former lieutenant governor of California, would focus on the open secretary of agriculture position.
Trump has filled all but four Cabinet posts to date. The remaining jobs — U.S. trade representative, secretary of veterans affairs, director of national intelligence and secretary of agriculture — must be filled in the final few weeks before Trump’s inauguration.
