President-elect Trump repeated his call for the cast and producers of “Hamilton” to “apologize” to his incoming vice president, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, for the treatment he received at a Friday show on Broadway.
“The cast and producers of Hamilton, which I hear is highly overrated, should immediately apologize to Mike Pence for their terrible behavior,” Trump tweeted early Sunday morning. Pence was booed by audience members as he walked into the theater in New York City Friday evening, and during the curtain call, as Pence quickly made an exit, the cast delivered a message to the vice president-elect.

“We, sir, we, are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us or uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us,” said cast member Brandon Dixon.
Trump’s latest message directed at “Hamilton” follows tweets sent Saturday, where he said Pence was “harassed” and demanded that the theater “must always be a safe and special place.”

While a candidate, Trump used the word “overrated” to describe conservative Washington Post columnist George Will, who was a frequent critic of the billionaire businessman.
Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story stated incorrectly that George Will is a columnist for the New York Times.
