WHAT: Said “across America, DOE’s successful Weatherization Assistance Program has increased the demand for energy-saving products and services, created thousands of skilled jobs and helped families to reduce energy waste and save money.” WHY IT’S DIM: The DOE Inspector General says that program is so bad it is “akin to attaching a lawn mower to a fire hydrant.”
CURE: Abolish the program.
