Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt was grilled by Fox News’ Ed Henry in a sometimes contentious interview that aired Wednesday focusing on the numerous controversies he is facing.
The embattled Cabinet secretary is facing numerous unflattering headlines related to his travel on first class flights, his living arrangement, and use of his EPA-funded security detail.

Throughout the interview, Pruitt asserted there will be “accountability” and said he is taking corrective action in response to the controversies.
Amid the negative news coverage in recent weeks, Pruitt told the Washington Examiner on Tuesday that critics “will resort to anything” to stop President Trump’s agenda, a nod to his role in rolling back several President Barack Obama-era environmental policies.
Pruitt also appears to have Trump’s confidence for now.
An administration official told reporters Trump told Pruitt in a phone call Monday, “Keep your head up. Keep fighting. We got your back.”
