“Late Show” Stephen Colbert mocked two conservative figure’s penchant for making charts to attack Democrats, particularly Hillary Clinton.
The late-night comedian took a look at a chart unveiled by Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, this week, which the lawmaker used to try and convince Attorney General Jeff Sessions to appoint a special counsel to investigate the “Uranium One” deal in which the Obama administration allowed a Russian firm to purchase a Canadian uranium company with assets in the U.S.
On his show Friday, Colbert cracked some jokes about the web of alleged ties on a chart, including Hillary Clinton, Benghazi, former Attorney Generals Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch, and Russia.
Once finished, Colbert called the chart a “colorful distraction from the real story,” which he said was the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia, and on a new poster he drew a straight line from President Trump to Russia.

Earlier in the day, Colbert poked fun at Fox News host Sean Hannity and his flow chart about Hillary Clinton scandals.
