Caution: Legislators At Work

If you try drive anywhere in Northern Virginia, at some point you have to wonder to yourself, “When is the General Assembly in Richmond going to wake up and smell the exhaust?” Traffic congestion has been horrific for years, and legislators have never formulated a comprehensive fix for the mess. There are proposals every now and again, but they’re usually recycled ideas. If you want to read more about the issue, check out The Examiner’s editorial in Tuesday’s edition — the cartoon will be directly below it on the page.

One thing about drawing this cartoon is that it reinforced my preference of including people or characters in the panel. They’re much more fun to draw than doors and walls.
