Lights out, flooding remains at Washington Harbour

More than 100 workers are working around the clock to clean up the Washington Harbour after the Potomac overflowed on Monday, flooding and severely damaging the retail area.

A spokeswoman for MRP Real Estate Services said she expects cleanup to be completed by the end of the weekend.

“We are providing temporary parking for the affected tenants and residents while we paint and prepare the garages for access,” Julie Chase said.

Two buildings on K Street remained without power Wednesday evening; Chase said MRP is working with Pepco to restore power at 3000 K Street by Wednesday night and at 3050 K Street by 12 p.m. on Thursday.
