WASHINGTON (AP) — Police say a 7-year-old girl was shot at an apartment complex playground in northwest Washington.
The Metropolitan Police Department says the girl was shot in the leg at the Park Morton Apartment Complex playground on Georgia Avenue on Tuesday evening.
Police say a man was also shot several blocks away in a related incident. Both their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
No suspect or motive information has been released.
