Fox News’s The Greg Gutfeld Show ended April with the highest ratings in program history, topping late-night rivals on network television.
The Greg Gutfeld Show ended up with an average of 2.86 million viewers, which beat late-night talk shows on NBC, CBS, and ABC, according to the Hill.
The program, which airs weekly on Saturday nights, topped Stephen Colbert’s Late Show, which came in at 2.78 million average viewers, Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, which registered 2.09 million on average, and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which averaged 2 million viewers a night.
“Noteworthy considering Saturday nights — along with Friday nights — are the least-watched nights of the week, and broadcast usually trumps cable from ratings POV,” the Hill’s Joe Concha wrote on Twitter.

Gutfeld’s show, which launched in May 2015, typically has a studio audience, but like his competitors, he has temporarily halted that practice during the coronavirus pandemic.
Cable news ratings were strong in general in April with Fox News leading the way, averaging 3.68 million viewers during prime-time hours, followed by MSNBC’s 2.04 million and CNN’s 1.95 million, according to Nielsen.
Gutfeld celebrated the news on Twitter by posting about the achievement, along with a Fox News article touting a dominating performance in April ratings.
