When a Colorado woman went into labor, she decided that she had to perform her civic duty before giving birth.
Sosha Adelstein of Boulder, Colo., was due on Election Day but went into labor Friday. Before heading to the hospital, where she gave birth to daughter Bella Rose, she dropped off her ballot at the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder’s Office.

“We ran over there and kind of made it just in time, because, like, shortly after that I was like, ‘OK, it’s time. We got to get to the hospital,'” Adelstein told Denver’s KMGH.
The baby’s father, Max Brandel, told the Daily Camera that both he and Aldestein voted for Democrat Hillary Clinton for president.
“It’s really important for us to bring our girl into a world we are proud of. We hope people realize the risks inherent in this election and get out and vote,” Brandel said.
Clinton’s daughter, Chelsea, caught wind of the story and tweeted out the Daily Camera story about Adelstein.
