Police have one suspect in custody following a shooting that injured at least one person at Noblesville West Middle School in central Indiana Friday morning.
The middle school, located 20 miles north of downtown Indianapolis, was placed on lockdown shortly before 9:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, the Noblesville Fire Department reported.
NFD and NPD are on scene of an active shooter at Noblesville West Middle School. Suspect is in custody. NPD will have more info when it’s available.

Police have not identified the suspect or possible additional injured.
Noblesville is a town of 52,000 people, according to a 2010 Census count.
The incident comes exactly one week after nine students and one teacher were killed when a student opened fire at Santa Fe High School in southeastern Texas.
