President Trump told his former aide Omarosa Manigault-Newman that he wasn’t aware White House chief of staff John Kelly decided to fire her, according to a new tape she released to NBC News.
“Omarosa, what’s going on?” Trump asked her on a call that she said took place soon after Kelly fired her. “I just saw on the news that you’re thinking about leaving? What happened?”
“Gen. Kelly came to me and said that you guys wanted me to leave,” she said.

“Nobody even told me about it,” Trump replied.
“Wow,” she said.
“You know, they run a big operation, but I didn’t know it,” Trump added. “I didn’t know that. Goddamn it. I don’t love you leaving at all.”
The White House has criticized the former aide for taping her conversations in the White House and then releasing them to the press. Manigault-Newman also recorded the discussion she had when Kelly fired her in the White House Situation Room, an act that some have said raises significant security concerns.
