PSC to hold hearings on power outages

BALTIMORE (AP) — Maryland’s Public Service Commission is holding hearings on how well utilities handled outages from a powerful storm in June.

The PSC is holding the hearing in Baltimore on Thursday. The commission has set aside time for another hearing for Friday, if it is necessary.

The panel will be hearing from five power companies. They include the Baltimore Gas and Electric, the Potomac Electric Power Company, the Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative, Delmarva Power and Light Company and the Choptank Electric Cooperative.
