Jeffrey Lord scores Trump book deal

Former CNN pundit Jeffrey Lord has landed a book deal with Post Hill Press’ Bombardier Books for a publication tentatively titled, “‘Donald Trump, Lion Inside the Gate,” according to a report.

The book will form a primer for President Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign and will carry the working subtitle, “America’s War Against the Old Order,” per the Hollywood Reporter.

It will also contain a chapter about his dismissal from CNN in the context of “legacy institutions,” Lord told the magazine.

The Hollywood Reporter did not detail the value of Lord’s deal with the publishing house.

Lord rose to national prominence for his staunch support of President Trump in the lead-up to the 2016 election.

He was fired from the cable news network in August for tweeting “Sieg Heil!” at Angelo Carusone, president of Media Matters for America.

The slogan was often chanted at Nazi rallies in Germany in the 1930s and ’40s.

Lord is an alum of former President Ronald Reagan’s administration, serving as an associate political director from 1987 to 1988.

This will be Lord’s second book about Trump, first releasing What America Needs: The Case for Trump in January 2016.

His latest book is set to be launched in February 2018.
