Donald Trump published a new ad that depicts Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton laughing while fire from the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attacks is superimposed on her face.
The video, released via Trump’s Instagram account, shows the parents of the victims of the 2012 terrorist attack in Libya arguing that Clinton lied to them about what happened. The video ends with footage of Clinton laughing as Benghazi burns and the words “NEVER FORGET” appear onscreen.
Clinton appeared for approximately 11 hours before the House Select Committee on Benghazi last year, and the committee has yet to produce a report regarding the findings of its investigation.
Trump’s ad signals he intends to bring Clinton’s handling of Libya and the controversy surrounding the Benghazi attacks into the spotlight as he heads into a likely general election matchup with Clinton. He attacked her with a similar Instagram ad before.
